A mala is a set of beads commonly used by Hindus and Buddhists for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. They are sacred and beautiful and can be worn as a necklace or wrapped around your wrist multiple times. Malas are made with 108 beads and a guru bead. They can be made with fewer beads, such as 18, 27, or 54, which would require the user to make several rotations to complete their full meditation. The number 108 has spiritual significance as it is believed that we have 108 lines of energy in our bodies which converge to form the anahata, or the heart chakra.
This mala is made with 6mm Black Gold Amazonite, and Cloudy Quartz beads with a Black Gold Amazonite guru stone. Amazonite filters out stress, heals trauma, and brings soothing energy. It can assist you in speaking your truth clearly and clearing away cluttered thinking. The tassel is silky thread and a gorgeous shade of dark silver.
The mala is strung on nylon thread and is hand knotted between each stone.
